Tyl has established himself in the arts, music and action sports industries over the course of his 15-year career in event management. He is regarded for his ability to develop strategic relationships between his clients, multinational corporate sponsors, local businesses and government.  With a reputation for strong execution of projects, he has been instrumental in Canadian, US, European & Chinese projects, including large commercial media events like the ESPN X Games in Los Angeles and Aspen and the FIS World Snowboard Championships in Whistler, the largest televised event of its kind.  Tyl is also known for his attentiveness to the industry concerns of executive stakeholders and developing the right forums for these individuals to come together.  In 2005, Tyl galvanized a panel of C-suite executives to develop the frameworks of transmitNOW, an international, future-focused music and digital technology think-tank where creators and leaders come together every year.  Subsequently, the transmitNOW initiative has spawned a combination of conferences and live showcases in Vancouver, Whistler, Victoria, Beijing, and Shanghai.  Since its creation, transmitNOW has evolved, and under Tyl’s guidance, it has expanded to all sectors involved in the creation and delivery of digital content, such as mobile, gaming, e-publishing, film, television, etc.
