Cory is a Global Marketing Product Manager for the Lenovo Think line of Desktop PCs. In the weeks following the acquisition by Lenovo, Cory moved to Beijing to serve as the GM of Lenovo China Infrastructure, during the critical time of integrating the IBM and Lenovo businesses. In 2008 Cory was a marketing manager responsible for launching a new Intel powered PC category. He has also executed numerous global advertising campaigns, and served as a product spokesman in Lenovo advertisements. Cory has written executive speeches used in national events. Working closely with industry leaders, ambassadors and heads of state, Cory has represented Lenovo in numerous Government Affairs discussions.
Since 2008, Cory serves as a part-time lecturer of Presentation Design and Visualization of Data at Peking University’s Guanghua School of Management. In 2009, he served as an advisor to the first TEDx Beijing event. He was a speaker at the 2009 Beijing-London Advertising Forum and has been interviewed by the WSJ, Danwei.ord and the OECD. He has delivered speeches to the MBA schools of Harvard, MIT, UC Berkeley and over 60 other global universities including Iceland!
He completed the Lenovo Intensive Chinese Language program. Also having learned carpentry from his grandfather, Cory has dedicated his time to work on community construction projects in the UK, Alaska and China.
A networkaholic and social media specialist, he is also an active entrepreneur, conference speaker, creative advertisement lead, news photographer, blog & business writer, reader, carpenter, calligrapher and political cartoonist.
Educated in Silicon Valley and Europe, Cory has a B.S. degree from San Jose State University and a Master of Science degree in Management from the Nottingham Business School.
